You can’t even read “Jane Austen Action Figure” and not giggle to yourself! This is sort of Accoutrements, Inc.’s point.
I own the “Leonardo da Vinci Action Figure” and plan to add a few more to my collection.
No, I am not a collector of action figures, but these simply add personality to your desk or car (my Davinci Doll has been mounted on the dash of my car for years). They tell people something about your personality. In my case, I am a college student studying Engineering and Philosophy, and have been an artist for years (I owe my late father for this, he was a Medical Doctor and graduated with degrees in Philosophy and Marine Biology, his genes gave me the ability to be left-minded AND right-minded: Science and Literature, Math and Art, etc.). Naturally Leonardo da Vinci is a hero of mine.
Another friend of mine is the Executive Conductor of Fort Wayne, Indiana’s own Philharmonic Orchestra. He is an avid opera fan. He has the “Wilhelm Richard Wagner Action Figure” and it sits in a place of honor on his bookshelf, infront of his music books.
My SISTER, however, loves all things English. Jane Austen is one of her favorite authors. I gave her this figurine as a complement to a leather-bound “Seven Novels by Jane Austen” book reviewed by me elsewhere at Amazon.Com. SHE COULDN’T STOP LAUGHING when she opened it! It still graces her bookshelf or her desk, where she uses it to inspire her studies in World History and Women’s Studies. As I said, it tells people about your personality.
Customer Review: A fun and simple gift for Austen fans!
I purchased this as a Christmas present for my wife along with an Austen biography. She’s a huge fan of the books and movies, and she thought the figure was nice. As people have previously mentioned, it shouldn’t be treated as an “action” figure but is a nice book shelf addition.

Customer Review: Great Toy
My 5 yr old son is a huge Ben 10 fan and absolutely loved this toy. The wheels on the hoverboard come off a little too easily and can be lost. Also the joints on Ben’s knees get a little loose but nothing has broken til now. Overall though, the pros outweigh the cons. Be careful though, Toys R Us sells this for 5.99 whereas Amazon is selling for $15!!!

Customer Review: Great for Deadpool fans
Seeing as how Deadpool figures aren’t released very often, I’m sure most fans of the ‘Merc with a Mouth’ will snatch this figure up no matter what. I know I did. However, there’s just a few things that should be noted.
First, his swords are likely to be bent pretty bad thanks to the way they are secured in the package. However, they can be straightened right up by sticking them in the scabbards on his back and leaving them there for a little while.
Next, his guns seem to fit nicely enough in his hands, though his swords fit very loosely and sometimes just can’t be held. To fix this, I just put a tiny bit of sticky tac (a blue puddy sometimes used to hang posters on walls) in his hand, which greatly helps him hang on to his weapons for display purposes.
I’m not sure if this figure would last long if played with by a child, as it seemed like it could be fragile–however, that could just be because I’m used to dealing with the larger ‘Marvel Legends’ figures and not these smaller, G.I. Joe sized figures.
The sculpt of the figure is very nice and accurately depicts Deadpool’s appearance as it was in the ‘Cable & Deadpool’ comic book series. Perhaps the paint applications could be better, but overall this is a great figure.
Those interested in this character should check out the Hulk vs Wolverine movie included on the ‘Hulk vs’ DVD, as Deadpool is truly a hilarious yet deadly character, and very unique.

Customer Review: Finally, Watchmen action figures!
The graphic novel Watchmen has long been considered the greatest graphic novel of all time. It’s on Time’s 100 Best Novels (the only comic book/graphic novel on the list), and now the book has finally made its move to the big screen after years and years of trying. Though the film has yet to come out, it looks to be staying as close to the graphic novel as possible (though a certain tentacled creature is allegedly missing from the film’s “holy crap” finale), and DC Direct has produced a series of action figures based on the characters’ film interpretations.
I am very happy to have a Rorschach and Nite-Owl to accompany my Batman figures (these figures are slightly taller than Mattel’s Movie Master figures from The Dark Knight), but there are a few flaws to gripe about:
Let’s start with fan-fave Rorschach. He seems to have his head permanently tilted to one side. Why they couldn’t put a better joint in the neck to allow for more versatile movement and posing is beyond me. He’s also stuck in a pose that has him in mid-stride while the other three figures in the wave seem to be standing upright and erect. Couldn’t DC Direct have made the bottom portion of his coat in soft plastic and add hip joints to allow for more posing possibilities?
Rorschach’s partner in crime-fighting, Nite-Owl, looks great. However, the crescent-moon belt buckle is removeable. This is good and bad. Good because it may mean that he uses it as a weapon at some point in the movie and it shows that DC Direct is paying attention to little details like that. However, it comes off the figure very easily and can be lost. There’s a transparent elastic band around his waist that will keep the piece in its pace, but once you pull the elastic band off, the little thing can fly off the figure and be lost in the carpet or cushions. It nearly lost it myself ten seconds after I got the figure out of the box.
Silk Spectre has a vacant look on her face. Consider that the toy is, in fact, a doll of sorts, she looks very doll-like in her emotionlessness even by doll standards. And no knee joints leave her legs looking stiff.
The only figure that seems to have no vital flaws is Ozymandias. Though on my figure, the paint is globbed on the front of his gold chest piece, that’s not a design flaw like the ones I mentioned in the other figures.
The only accessories are Rorschach’s grapple gun and an extra hand to grasp it with, the aforementioned crescent-moon belt piece on Nite-Owl, and each figure comes with bases to pose them on. They also come with these little peg pieces that can be pushed through the bottom of the base and into the figure’s foot to keep them in their place. But each figure also comes with these weird-shaped pieces that I have yet to found a purpose for. They’re the same color and made from the same kind of plastic as the base and the peg pieces, but they don’t seem to go anywhere on the bases. Your guess is as good as mine about what they’re for.
So yes, these figures do have flaws. They could all use a few more joints here and there as well, but these are really the first real Watchmen figures, so I’m just happy that I have them. Hurm.
